05/04/10 Meeting Minutes
Approved – August 24, 2010
- Meeting was called to order at 9:05AM
- Members in Attendance: Anne Littlefield, Claire Golding, Lynne Grettum, Betty Lawson
- First order of business was to elect a new chair. Anne Littlefield was unanimously elected chair at 9:08AM by Claire Golding and Lynne Grettum. Betty Lawson joined the meeting after this vote.
- Meeting minutes for 12/06/09 and 02/01/10 were unanimously approved as written.
- Lynne provided an update on the5/10/10 Annual Town Elections.
- Absentee ballots for all Absentee Voters currently on file were mailed April 14th.
- Election Equipment tested April 28th.
- Lynne provided an update on the Nomination process for 2010 state elections
- Registrars have received to date 24 Nomination packages
- April 27th was the deadline for state legislative offices
- May 4th is deadline for all statewide and US legislative offices
- Aug 3rd is deadline for all non-party candidates
- Petitions for ballot questions that are not approved by State Legislature are due to Registrars by June 23rd
Claire Golding’s term is up, and Claire will accept an appointment for three more years.
Next meeting of Registrars tentatively scheduled for October 2010.
- Meeting was adjourned by unanimous vote at 9:28AM.
